Food safety for printed cutters and stamps

Materials, printing, documentation and commercial use: what to check before food contact.

The file and the finished object

Cookie-AI creates digital designs. A geometry check and a rendered preview do not establish food-contact suitability of the subsequently printed object. Check dimensions and printability in your slicer and with a test print.

    Consider materials and processing together

A starting material described as suitable does not automatically make every finished object suitable. Consider material composition, printing, finishing and intended use. Do not use objects for food contact when suitability is uncertain.

Coating is not a universal solution

We provide no method that makes any print food-safe by applying resin, paint or film. The suitability of those materials and their application must also be established. Follow manufacturer documentation and use limits.

    Before commercial use

The licence allows selling printed objects. Food contact brings additional requirements. In the EU, relevant rules include Regulation (EC) No 1935/2004, Regulation (EU) No 10/2011 for plastics and good manufacturing practice under Regulation (EC) No 2023/2006, as amended. Establish necessary documentation, traceability and labelling before sale.

    What belongs in a listing

Describe the actual object you have assessed and its intended use. Use your own product photos and verified material and dimension information. A Cookie-AI rendering is a digital preview, not evidence of print quality or food safety.
